5pm.yyc indexes one thing: whether a Calgary bar runs a happy hour, when, and for how much. Google Maps and Yelp list every venue whether or not it has a deal, which means finding one takes ten tabs. This takes one filter.

What the badges mean
Verified HH means we checked the deal against a primary source — the venue’s own website or menu — and the listing links to it. Click through and judge it yourself.
Unverified means we have the deal from a secondary source or a user report and have not confirmed it. Treat it as a lead.
No happy hour means we checked and there is not one. Worth knowing before you walk there.
Freshness
We re-check every verified listing at least every 90 days. Anything past that shows a “last checked” date on the card. We would rather show you an honest date than a confident-looking listing from last year.
When we are wrong
We will be, regularly. Deals change without notice and nobody tells us. Every card has a Report wrong info control, it takes about fifteen seconds, and a person reads every report. That loop is the only reason this stays usable.
What we do not do
No ads. No sponsored placement — a venue cannot pay to rank higher, and the sort order is verification status then rating, full stop. No reviews; ratings shown are Google’s, displayed but not collected. No accounts.
